4th Annual Fundraiser Recap
After our 4th
Annual Fundraiser, we had raised over $100,000 from our
four fundraisers - all from local generosity.
Maybe it was the good food...fresh grilled burgers,
shrimp, oysters, littlenecks and the fixins. Maybe it
was the superb music from the Med Hedz, Jimmy Simpson,
Johnny Ferriera, Don Willson and a special visit from
legendary sax player Lenny Baker, providing a magical
finish to the evening.
Maybe it was
the fine array of items donated for the silent auction
ranging from golf outings to restaurant certificates to
antiques and art. These all played a part in the success
we witnessed for the fourth time.
We believe the
most important ingredients in this successful recipe
were the people involved:
~ the
volunteers who provided the extra effort required to
make this fundraiser happen
~ those
individuals and businesses that contributed items for
the auction & private donations
~ the people of
Falmouth, Mashpee and Bourne for being there and
supporting our cause by coming to Grumpy's &
spending their hard-earned money. |
