WORK OF THE FOUNDATION

Jimmy Gahan was born on April 15, 1981 at 4:02 am at
Cape Cod Hospital and died February 20, 2003, a victim
of the Station Night Club fire in West Warwick, RI.

From those early terrible days following the Station Night Club fire in February 2003, Carol and I made a promise to create something positive, beneficial and lasting.  The time and energy that would have been devoted to supporting Jimmy in his life endeavors will now be used to give a helping hand to countless numbers of young people through the Jimmy Gahan Charitable Foundation.

All expenses relating to the operation of the foundation will be paid by Carol and me to insure that 100% of all funds raised will be used for scholarships, gifts to various youth activities and building endowments that will continue to give gifts to our youth in perpetuity.  Click here for the Fundraising Annual Report.

So far we have raised, with your help, close to $230,000 for scholarships and gifts to youth sports and youth activities in several communities including Falmouth, Bourne, Mashpee & Dudley, Massachusetts.

We are more than three-quarters of the way to establishing 3 permanent endowments with a successful fundraiser this year, so that the work of the Jimmy Gahan Charitable Foundation can continue throughout the forseeable future.
